Experience Michigan in one of our rental cars.
Made up of an upper and lower peninsula, Michigan provides entertainment of all varieties! So, whether your family is a group of nature lovers or interested in an action-packed trip to the city, the Mitten is where you want to be! In the Great Lakes State, your family can spend a summer vacation on the sandy beaches of the Great Lakes or the 11,000 inland lakes that are peppered throughout the state. Mom and Dad can also take the Michigan rental car to one of the state's many casinos, located everywhere from downtown Detroit to the UP.
When you fly into Flint, your family can pick up a Bishop International Airport car rental to take around town. If you're staying in the area, Balloon Quest Balloon Rides is a great spot to visit. Located just outside of Flint in Fenton, your family can take a balloon ride any time of year. The kids are sure to have a blast at the Flint Children's Museum. With over 40 hands-on exhibits, the museum provides an educational and playful environment. Year round, and especially around Christmas, the 30-mile trip north to Frankenmuth is well worth the distance! Known as Michigan's Little Bavaria, Frankenmuth has great food, entertainment and shopping year-round.
North and west
Downtown Detroit is more than 20 miles from the local airport, so grabbing a Detroit International Airport rental car is the easiest way to travel. No matter the season, Detroit is home to some all-star professional sports teams! Head over to Comerica Park to catch a Tigers game, Ford Field to hear the Lions roar or Joe Louis Arena, where the Red Wings will show you what "Hockeytown" is all about. About 35 miles northwest of downtown, your family can watch the Pistons at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Your children will love the Detroit Zoo and Henry Ford Museum at Greenfield Village.
It doesn't matter which airport you fly into, just hop in the Michigan car rental and head north to Traverse City, Petoskey or the Upper Peninsula. While visiting TC, you and the kids will have a ton of outdoor activities to choose from! At the Sleeping Bear Dunes, there are breathtaking views to enjoy while the kids play in the sand. To the west, Grand Rapids is a fast growing city full of adventure. Voted Beer City USA in 2012, Grand Rapids has an active nightlife and plenty of kid-friendly activities. Hit one of the many downtown museums or head over to the local amusement park, Michigan's Adventure.
