Does Dollar offer a prepaid car rental rate?
Yes, Dollar offers prepaid rental car rates. Upon cancellation and amendment of prepaid reservations, fees do apply. It is also important to note that the name on the credit or debit card used to pay must match the name on the reservation. For more information, please check our Prepay Terms and Conditions

Can I use a debit card to prepay for my car rental?
Debit and Credit cards are accepted for prepaid rental car rates. Some restrictions for debit card usage may apply. See our debit card policy for more information.
Is a prepaid rental car for someone else possible?
A prepaid rental car for someone else is not possible when renting with Dollar. When renting the vehicle at the counter, you must produce the same credit or debit card with which you paid online and a valid driver's license. The credit or debit card used must be in your name and presented at the time of rental. Once proof of this card has been provided, Dollar can accept any other valid credit or debit card in your name at the time of rental for taxes, fees and incidentals.
Is there a cancellation fee for prepaid car rental bookings?
Any changes to the reservation may impact the rental charges.
• Cancel w/in 24 hours of booking: NO FEE
• Cancel more than 24 hours before pickup: $100
• Cancel less than 24 hours before pickup: $200
• No Show: Total Prepaid Amount
If the customer does not cancel the reservation prior to the time of pick-up and the rental vehicle is not picked up on the rental date, the entire prepaid amount will be forfeited. Changes to a reservation must be done at Dollar.com using the "Modify/Cancel" option.
Are there exclusions to Dollar prepaid rental car rates?
Rates exclude vehicle licensing recovery fee, airport facility use fee/customer facility charge, hotel concession fees, other cost recovery fees, governmental surcharges, taxes or other optional items such as child seats, luggage racks, refueling items, insurance, Dollar Connect or optional refueling, or one-way charges for which the renter may be responsible. Excluded services cannot be prepaid; if accepted, must be paid locally at time of rental.
Are there refunds or credits for unused rental days when prepaying for a rental car?
When using the prepaid car rental option with Dollar, there are no refunds or credits for unused rental days.
Can prepaid rental car discounts be combined with other offers?
Prepaid rates cannot be combined with any promotional offer, voucher, or certificate.
How can I make changes to a prepaid rental car reservation?
Changes to a reservation must be done at Dollar.com using the "Modify/Cancel" option. Any changes to the reservation may impact the rental charges (see the question regarding cancellation fees to learn more).
Can a CDP code be added upon checkout for a prepaid rental car reservation?
A CDP code can be added to a prepaid car rental reservation. However, there may be circumstances in which this CDP code is linked to a negotiated discount or rate that does not match Dollar retail prepaid rates. In this circumstance, the customer will see the error message: “No prepaid available.” The customer may cancel the original reservation (see terms and conditions for Cancellations) and make a new reservation adding the CDP number.
