TULSA, OKLAHOMA, January 17, 2005: Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. (NYSE: DTG) today announced the acquisition of the Thrifty Car Rental operations in Jacksonville, Melbourne and Cape Canaveral, Florida. The acquisition, which adds approximately 500 vehicles to the company’s corporate fleet, includes an in-terminal location at Jacksonville International Airport, as well as an off-airport location in Jacksonville, an off-airport location in Melbourne and a location in Cape Canaveral. The terms of the transaction, effective January 15, 2005, were not disclosed.

In addition, both Dollar and Thrifty will be offering outstanding service and quality products to visitors in Jacksonville next month as it hosts Super Bowl XXXIX.”

As part of its growth strategy to acquire locations in the top 75 U.S. airports and operate them corporately, the Company has acquired 40 U.S. and Canadian markets and opened eight new Dollar or Thrifty locations, adding approximately 26,000 vehicles, on an annualized basis, to the Company’s rental fleet.
