Stay fit during your business tripThursday, December 6, 2012 10:25:17 AM
When you're on the road in a car rental, sometimes working out can fall to the wayside. However, its important for your health - and also for your company - that you feel your best and brightest while traveling for business. Pack some workout gear in a spacious car rental, and try these in-room hotel workout tips to stay in shape!
Easy pieces of workout equipment to pack include resistance bands, yoga mats and blow up exercise balls, according to The New York Times. Many publishers offer books that guide readers through exercises that accompany this type of workout equipment.
If you don't bring along workout equipment, you still have a great option - your own body. Body weight will provide you with resistance and you can do plenty of circuit work for each body part. Mens Health Magazine outlines several workouts to do without equipment. These include the skiing wall squat (lean against a wall and gradually lower yourself into a seat, holding each position for 10 seconds), the donkey kick (get on your hands and knees and kick your right leg back and up as high as you can; repeat on other side), and shadow boxing (throw punches while shuffling your feet). No matter where you're going, throw a pair of tennis shoes in your rental car. You never know when you might come across the perfect area for a jog.
