Staying fresh and clean on the road

6/30/2014 1:35:23 PM

You don't have to be a business traveler to know what it feels like to experience the on-the-go grime - the greasy feeling you experience after a long, warm flight across the country. But it's especially important for those traveling for work to maintain a clean and vibrant appearance at all times, since you're representing your company in your destination. Consider these tips for staying fresh from the moment you step off the plane until you drop off your business travel car rental to board your flight home:

Wear light clothing

Particularly in warm weather, it's important to take special care to manage your body odor. Wearing light, breathable clothing can help you avoid excessive sweating that can cause an offensive smell and unsightly stains on your underarms.

Carry moist wipes

Washing your face and hands when you feel a bit sticky is ideal, but water and soap are not always available. In these cases, be sure to have a package of moist towelettes on hand for a quick refresher.

Don't forget your gum

Some people may consider it rude to chew gum during a meeting, but sour breath is arguably much more obnoxious. If you're worried about offending a client, just spit it out before the meeting and dispose of it a trash bag in you business car rental.
