Prowl with the Panthers in North Carolina
Many people know the city of Charlotte as the "First in Flight." The Wright brothers were the first to succeed at creating and flying an airplane nearby in Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. You can fly here or drive your Greensboro rental car to experience all that this great state has to offer.
If your family likes thrill rides, Carowinds is the place for you! Head to this amusement park to ride the Intimidator, the fastest, tallest and longest coaster in the Southeastern U.S. Inspired by Dale Earnhardt, this three minute and 33 second roller coaster ride has a:
- Winner's Circle

- Replica of Dale's No. 3 Monte Carlo race car
If you prefer intense swings and beautiful scenery, try the Windseeker. This ride is the tallest in the park and takes you high above the crowds for a breathtaking view of the surrounding Charlotte area. If you visit this park when the weather is hot, head to Boomerang Bay, the 20-acre water park where you can ride a 1,000 foot lazy river, get your slide on with 11 water slides and hangout as a family in the family activities area.
Younger kids will love Planet Snoopy. This part of the park includes family-friendly rides like Charlie Brown's Windup swings and the Character Carousel. You can even visit with Snoopy, Charlie Brown and friends in person! Grab a fast-lane pass to bypass regular lines and get in as much fun as possible!
Bank of America Stadium
This North Caroline stadium is located in uptown Charlotte and is the self-contained headquarters for the Carolina Panthers football team. The stadium facility also houses the teams:
- Training facilities
- Administrative offices
- Practice fields
The colors of the stadium reflect the team colors: black, silver and blue. There are 73,778 seats in this stadium, including 1,394 seats for individuals in wheelchairs. This stadium was specially designed with concessions in mind.
A typical sporting venue has one concession stand for every 300 to 350 spectators. Bank of America Stadium has one for every 171 persons. This means better quality food and shorter waits! From burgers to hot dogs, pizza and nachos, there are quite a few choices.
There is even a plethora of gluten free options, including ice cream sandwiches, cake, salted caramel brownies, popcorn, snack bars and more. There is also gluten free beer available. Drive your Charlotte rental car and park in one of the 30,000 parking spots in the field's surrounding area when you come to cheer on the Panthers!
