Hit the Strip in your Las Vegas Rental Car
Some people may not think of Las Vegas as a place to bring a family, but in reality, The Strip and surrounding areas offer plenty of kid-friendly activities and fun. This entertainment capital has plenty of shows with magicians, exotic animals, dancers and more. There are also opportunities to get out and enjoy the Nevada countryside.
Here are a few attractions to add to your itinerary:
Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens
The famous Bellagio Hotel features an incredible area dedicated to colorful plants. Your family will enjoy strolling through the greenery and florals at any time of year. Mr. and Ms. Green Thumb even make appearances every morning, so curious onlookers can take photos and ask questions about the many flora here. The garden is open every day of the year and offers a perfect place to sit and contemplate on one of the gazebos. You will certainly want to stroll across all the unique bridges and around the many ponds to fully enjoy all the plants and trees and their beautiful arrangements.
Vegas Tours with Grand Adventures
If your crew is looking to get out of the city and into the desert, consider taking a tour with Grand Adventures. Go from your busy day of shopping and shows straight to your comfortable hotel. Many of these locations offer busses from Grand Adventures that go directly to the Grand Canyon where an incredible journey will take place. You can enjoy a walking canyon tour during the daytime, a sunset tour to view the incredible colors as the sun sinks below the horizon, or even a skywalk tour where you'll walk around the upper rim trail. It's a good idea to wear comfortable walking shoes (no high heels!) – you will need them for this trek. Keep in mind that children participating on this trip should be over the age of 10, so be sure your little ones are not-so-little. They have to be able to keep up to the rest of the tour group.
The Mob Museum
It’s a nice drive to this exciting museum that features memorabilia and storylines from some of the infamous gangsters like Al Capone, "Bugs" Moran, John Gotti and more. The exhibits are "multi-sensory," and range from interactive stories, videos, news clippings and other points of interest. You'll fit right in if you wear a Zoot suit and a fedora! Kids love The Mob Museum because it has so many things to look at and really helps bring history to life. Plus, they'll get a good sense of life in the 20s as they stroll through the hallways here.
