Orlando Car Rentals
Orlando has had several nicknames, from City Phenomenal to the City of Light. Today it is known as The City Beautiful and with its over 100 lakes, many public golf courses and famous sporting and concert venues, it's no wonder why. Visit Orlando to see what all the fuss is about.
The Orlando Citrus Bowl Stadium
The original stadium here was constructed in 1936 and had only 10,000 seats. Since then several expansions have occurred to increase the capacity to more than 70,000. The latest renovation is slated to be complete by April 2015. Upon its completion, 80 percent of the facility will be brand new. Events that take place at the Orlando stadium include Wrestlemania matches, musical performances, the Capital One Bowl, Monster Jam, Russell Athletic Bowl and the Florida Classic. Over 5 million pounds of debris from the old stadium were removed and recycled to be used in the new stadium and elsewhere. The new facilities feature additional suites, club seating, restrooms, concession stands, ticket windows, better disability seating, enhanced sight lines and sound systems, video boards, better team locker rooms and expanded leg room for seating in the lower bowl. The Florida Blue Florida Classic is the first game to take place in the newly reconstructed facilities and will be played on Nov. 22, 2014. Drive your Orlando rental car to this brand-new stadium to see state of the art design and exciting entertainment.
The world's largest collection of Tiffany glass resides in this Winter Park museum. Other works by Louis Comfort Tiffany include jewelry, paintings, pottery, lamps, windows and even the chapel interior from the 1893 World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Also at the museum are American paintings from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, pottery, graphics and decorative art. Admission is $1 for students, $5 for people over age 12 and $4 for seniors. Visit on a Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and admission is free. If you would like a guide to lead you through the museum stop by the visitors information desk and ask for a docent or curator tour. Gallery talks are also available for some exhibits so be sure to ask about them if you are interested in a more in-depth look at the art at this Florida museum.
Exotic Animal Experience
If your family loves animals, this is the place for you. Visit exciting animals like lemurs, deer, kangaroos and more at this Orlando attraction. Drive your rental car to see Sweet Tater, a red-ruffed lemur and Mia the Muntjac deer. The kangaroos love to give visitors kisses and lemurs feel free to climb right up your leg and take a seat on your shoulder. This is a hands-on experience that you won't get anywhere else. Aspiring biologists and zoo keepers will love the up-close and personal encounters to be had here. You may have even seen some of the animals you could meet here on Animal Planet, "Good Morning America" and MSN. The lemur and kangaroo are popular on YouTube in a video of them playing tag. Even the resident dog got in on the action and can be seen kissing Roo the kangaroo right on the nose!
