Here’s what you Need to Know when renting with a Debit Card from Dollar:

We’ve done away with credit checks.

We’ve removed travel plan requirements when booking more than 24 hours in advance.

Made a last-minute reservation or looking to rent one of our premium, luxury or convertible cars? You can still rent using your debit card just be sure to bring an extra from of government issued ID and your return travel plans to the counter.

Under 25? No problem. You can rent using a debit card too.

Incidental hold of $200 + cost of rental will be applied at pickup. (incidental Hold waived for Dollar Express members with a VISA in your profile after first rental)

By joining Dollar Express, you can skip the counter, and go straight to the Dollar lot. You can also earn points on every rental. Hand the lot agent your ID and your Debit Card and you’ll be good to go. Want to join and learn more?
 
 

 

Terms and Conditions:
Renter must present a valid driver’s license and major credit or debit card in the renter's own name with available credit and funds. Debit cards issued under a non-prepaid VISA, MasterCard or Discover logo may be used at the outset of a rental. If the reservation was made within 24 hours of rental or if the customer is renting a convertible, premium or luxury car class, then a non-prepaid debit card with a VISA, Mastercard or Discover logo may be used as long as the following requirements are met: present two (2) valid forms of identification; and proof of a return travel ticket to coincide with the rental (airline/train/cruise). A $200 authorized hold will be secured on your credit/debit card. The above incremental hold will not be applied to established EXPRESS members with a VISA card in their profile. Franchise locations may set their own requirements for debit card acceptance. Please contact location for more details.
