Whether you rent a car at the airport or at one of our neighborhood locations, we’re here to support your travel needs. At Dollar we strive to make your travels easier, and our focus remains on getting you on your way safely and confidently.

We are closely monitoring Coronavirus (COVID-19) and following the current guidance from the leading government and health authorities to ensure we are taking the right actions to protect our customers, employees and the communities where we operate.

Please also know that we continue to maintain our high standards for safety and cleanliness. In addition to practicing preventative measures to reduce the spread of germs within our facilities, all of our vehicles go through a rigorous, multi-step cleaning process for each rental. We are remaining vigilant in upholding these practices and will take additional precautions as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC), World Health Organization (WHO) and local governments.

We have enhanced our cleaning practices:

Around the world, we have enhanced our cleaning methods at our locations and our shuttle buses including using approved disinfectant to regularly wipe down high-touch areas such as door handles, counters, kiosks and other hard surfaces.

We’ve added more alcohol-based hand sanitizers and are reminding employees to take important hygiene steps, including frequent handwashing and staying home if ill.

For our vehicles, we are reinforcing our rigorous cleaning process which includes priority areas such as door handles, steering wheel, dashboard, console, seats, etc.

During this time, we recognize flexibility is more important than ever. At Dollar, you can get the right car to fit your needs without having to pay in advance. As always, Dollar allows you to pay for your rental at the time of pick-up with no cancellation fees. Should your plans change, adjusting existing reservations is easy on Dollar.com.  

We added flexibility for prepaid reservations, including waiving cancellation and change fees for travel restricted areas. Additionally, all prepaid reservations booked prior to March 13th can now be extended toward reservations used within 24 months with no fees. Customers still have the option to cancel with applicable fees. Customers who booked through third-parties are encouraged to contact that party directly.
